ISO-cable tape
ISO-cable tape is used in the manufacturing of fire resistant cables. This mica tape is free of halogens and toxic gases. Due to its high flexibility, this tape can easily be applied to high speed taping machines.
ISO-cable tape consists in thin phlogopite mica paper impregnated with a specific high temperature binder and reinforced with a glasscloth outside the mica. When exposed to a flame, even if the silicone binder turns into inorganic dioxide, the mica still proves a high electrical insulation at high temperature. This mica material is 100% free of toxicity: you don’t need any specific protection.
